Unable to open configuration file...

Post by rollydog »

What gives here? It can't open the scummvm.ini file. FAQ isn't very helpful. I'm running XP Pro SP2.

Sorry pal. Google, your OS manual, whatever. This is out of ScummVM scope.

hm ..

not the Adminrights ?

why you will not the Parameter --config= give a try ?

if you write

Code: Select all

scummvm.exe --config=scummvm.ini
It will create a Config File in the SCUMMVM folder :D

// EDIT

I've forgotten .. make it as BATCHDAT or SHORTCUT ... the parameter is needesd EVERYTIMES

I really appreciate your help, but im having trouble understanding your directions. i created a text file with

scummvm.exe --config=scummvm.ini

in it

and I renamed it start.bat

but where do I put it? in C:\WINDOWS? or in my Scummvm folder?

that would be in the scummvm folder

btw start.bat might be an ambiguous name, since there exists an (internal?) system command with that name already (ever tried to enter "start ." on the cmdline to open an explorer window of the current dir?)
