PocketScummVM: Summer Bonanza!

Post by knakos »

Ahoy there!

Just before everyone in northern hemisphere hits the beaches of monkey island (except scummvm developers of course :D ), we thought we'd provide some updated entertainement. Head on over here to pick up the latest svn build of the 0-9-0 branch.

This build features:
  • A few small bugfixes.
    CinE Engine support
Support for wince 3.00 (2002 devices)
Happy Diving!

Hello,

first short feedback (unfortunately I have only short time, I have to go swimming ...)

First of all no new bugs appeared for me (Dell Axim X50v, WM5). But some are gone:

- BS1 starts again
- The DOTT Bug (Using envelope with stamp caused crash) is gone.

One is left:
- BS2 reports the "Cannot find scripts.clu" bug

kind regards

Hi knakos!
Does that mean that you've switched to GCC and built all nessesary libs?

I am sorry to bother you all, but I have a question on this which I hope someone can help me with. I was hoping to use this release to resolve my issue with Broken Sword reporting an error when it is starting, so I downloaded the bz2 file and uncompressed it. However, I am left with a file which has no file extension and so I am at a slight loss to understand what to do next.

I am making the assumption that this is not the compiled version and so I need to do something to compile this, I noticed some information in the documentation on this, but I was hoping that someone could give me some confirmation of what I need to do, or what I need.

Thank you for your time.

Hello,

@Dink: Just rename the extracted file to e.g. PocketScumm.exe and execute it on your PPC.

I certainly wasn't expecting a simple answer like that! :D

Thanks very much frank_m24, I will give that a go.
