Assigning buttons bug fixed in 0.9.0?

Post by kaiserpc »

Hi, I'm still using build 0.7.1 because I can't assign buttons for right clicking etc in version 0.8 or 0.8.2 (the keys aren't displayed on the screen anymore). I'm using a Dell axim X30 by the way.

I am aware of the obscure workaround involving setting the games up in 0.7.1 (writing to the scummvm.ini file) and then playing them in version 0.8.2, but haven't tried this.

I'm hoping this bug is fixed in version 0.9.0, can anyone confirm this please?

I'm not following you. Are you saying that you:
1) Open the keyboard mapping dialog
2) Select an action and press 'map'
3) Pressing any key does not register it (e.g. the keycode does not change)?

okay, firstly how do I open up the 'map' option? Under options I have only Graphics | Audio | MIDI | Paths

In verison 0.7.1 a keyboard is displayed at the bottom of the screen (on loading up the menu)

I think people have logged the same problem here;

and here;

of course I may (and probably am) doing something stupid :lol:

by the way excellent work on the port

Hello,

in the newer versions there is a button for the "keyboard mapping dialog", in the button bar, where also the Screen Rotate or the Menu Button is placed. It looks like a "Q"-key.

Also in case starting a game, which needs some button assignements not made so far, I am asked to map them (the "right mouse button" in Sam&Max e.g.).

I have no problems in my Axim X50v mapping the keys.

kind regards

Frank
