But so the detection of holding the L-key isn't working for everyone. I've tried many times now.
Can't this procedure be changed? Perhaps something like a small 2 second countdown (Press a button now to load M3 driver...2...1....button press detected, loading M3

i was holding it for 30 seconds, still nothing

it says m3 sd detection:off, but i am holding L shoulder button

Java would be the best solution for that, yes. The virtual machine is available for a wide variety of operating systems.

But when the user presses the button to load the M3 driver, you can assume that the card is a M3. Or will there be risk of corruption if the card isn't a M3 in that case?

first i converted the music files to wav without the proper compression, resulting in pretty big files, but now i've converted the ogg files to the correct wav format, and it works!

hmmmm, so there is a 333mhz version of the PSP? How can you tell which one it is if i were looking in a shop? All PSP's are 333mhz. will compressed sound support (either oog or mp3) be added in a future release?
