Thanks anotherguest! I didn't consider that both games could be corrupt, but on your advise I dug out my Monkey CDs and hey presto...

Thanks! Problem solved.

Also found my FOTAQ CD, that won't run. How much memory do you think that requires?

Miles.

FExplorer says I have 18736kB of mem free. Surely that's enough to run the MONKEY games? I;ve tried installing on phone memory and memory card, no difference there. It seems to quit pretty quick, screen goes blank for about 1 second and then it returns to the applications menu without any error or m...

Thanks for the replies.

I've tried MONKEY1 and MONKEY2 so far andboth just pack up straight away! Maybe I could try some others, just have to dig them out. I;ve got Goblins 2 & 3 somewhere.

Happy to do some tests if anyone can think of anything!?

It's hard to know what to do because it just bugs out without any error message or anything. It's very frustrating.

Any help welcome!

Nokia N95

Hi, I've tried both svn builds and the release build on my N95 but whenever I press "Start" on a game the ScummVM just quits back to the applications menu. Any ideas? (I used to have ScummVM on my old N70 and it worked great... I'm trying to run the Monkey games) Thanks in advance for any ...

I have to kill Scumm to get out once I;m in a game and often the hone hangs not long after,

Yes thats true.. it would be slower in Stereo as the data would be twice the size. But that is provided that stereo dont work either. If it does. then you would have the same speed slowdown but in stereo Oh, I see you were thinking of a hardware inability as opposed to a CPU speed issue. Fair enoug...

Ooh! Just deleted SDL.ini and rebooted and it's working perfectly!! Sound up to speed and in sync! Awesome. Just the key/joy issues now. (Small bug in Monkey intro where it restarts the track when the scene changes from the credits to the watchpoint scene when it should just carry on playing track17)

Seeming as the N70 has a 220Mhz processor and can handle AV capture whilst other stuff is going on in the background (eg, BT transmission), it seems a little odd to suggest it can't handle 16kHz sound - especially as the game is running smoothly apart from that. Also there is no stuttering or other ...

Oh, and just bothered to wait for the game to start and I do have sound, it is just half speed like jg said. Really slow. Also, the music in the intro doesn't seem to play at all. All my oggs are mono 44.1kHz at an average bitrate of 40-50kbps. Game runs at normal speed apart from the sound. No soun...

Thanks for your reply AnotherGuest. Ok, get the graphics thing - just wanted to see of there was a render mode that made the downsampling look better. As for the key mapping, even if I go in and map say the * key to Skip, it doesn't work (it says it's mapped but the key just doesn;t work in the game...

Sorry, a couple of other qs for anyone who might know. Any reason why I can't map any keys? I want to make the joystick select button to be click rather than the left hand button. It saves the mappings (see below) but has no effect. Is there any reason why I can;t choose aspect ratio correction? And...
