Thinking bout getting the epic. Anyone running scummvm with success on the epic?

Hey everyone, so I plan on getting the Evo 4g running 2.2 so please keep that mind when answering thanks. 1. Does the phone need to be "rooted" to install ScummVM? 2. I understand apps cannot be installed on the SD card (without rooting) so if a typical game, say monkey island, is 500 MB, ...
