Re: Monitor Trouble
I have a Viewsonic VX1932 and, after some tweaks, necessary with any monitor CRT or LCD, things look like they're supposed to (or at least how my brain says they're meant to appear). Another question I had was regarding panels. The Viewsonic VX1932 and another monitor I was looking at, a Samsung PX...

I have a Viewsonic VX1932 and, after some tweaks, necessary with any monitor CRT or LCD, things look like they're supposed to (or at least how my brain says they're meant to appear). Do keep in mind that, nowadays, most monitors are widescreen, so, you'll have to get used to pillarboxing (or letterb...

I already had my shared of salt and grain with General MIDI. And without greater MIDI banks, you only get generic instrument playing from the MIDIs. Even a much sophisticated MIDI banks still has missing effects here and there. Some games were composed with GM and not MT-32 in mind, hence they'll a...

Yes, it has a sidebar, under gadgets, but if you don't miss it...why use it? :) The thing is not only playing the talkie, but the talkie with MT-32 emulation, so, rather than suggesting games, I was suggesting tests :) As for the defragging part, well, your rig in general will be happier if you do :...

The spec might be enough to play Dead Rising..true...but I've never, ever...seen thousands of zombies at once...a couple hundreds...at most...maybe? Also, it's a console game :P so, it doesn't really push the PC to its limits...want to work your rig? Run GTA IV...try highest settings, behold the ama...

Thanks, found it :) I couldn't see any messages related to the problem or not, the behaviour is the same, drums died, I opened the debug console, closed it, magic: drums are back, went to another scene, with another song, drums died, opened console, drums are back. Though it did do something interes...

The sound problem is still there, but the game now gets detected correctly in it's pristine condition, thanks :) Update on the sound problem: the drums get fixed if I open the global console (Cttl-F5) I did that while looking for a debug console (SCUMM style) to see any messages, but SCI doesn't hav...

The Hand of Fate General Midi Music
Hello, I'm new to the forum and I registered to ask this, hopefuly simple, question. I copied the required files (as per the game data files list) from my Hand of fate CD to my hard drive to play it using ScummVM, it works mostly great, except for one minor detail: if I select Windows MIDI in order ...
