Maybe it's not worth worrying about. I gather it's caused by skipping dialogue. I've found that if I wander around a bit, then go back to the chicken, I can proceed without the error popping up, so I'm okay now. Maybe this post might help someone else.

Stupidly, I was still running ScummVM 1.7 thinking it didn't really matter. Now I've updated to version 1.9.0.2 it worked. Thanks for the reminder to update. I'm an idiot.

No, you don't have to connect to WAP to get it. I never have, being on PAYG. If you go to the website, there's a download button at the bottom of the page. So long as you've got the usb lead for your phone, you're laughing.
