Excellent! Glad to hear this problem was solved. I wasn't having any white noise at all, but I'm using Ogg. Thanks! Anyone can do the same for Flight of the Amazon Queen soundtrack from gog.com ? (free download) I checked on this, and the game doesn't process audio the same way as IHNM. Besides that...

One issue. With the added tracks I get a loud, but short white noise sound before every new music track starts. Any way to solve this? Same problem here, both on Windows and Mac ports Boy. That's weird. I'll see if I can find a solution to this in the coming week. Is it only before new music tracks...

Is there a way to upgrade the soundtrack on my original disk version as well??? Not yet, because the enhanced soundtrack is part of the GOG/Steam purchase. You'd need to buy it from one of those retailers, then you could use the enhanced soundtrack with your disk version. I'd like to talk with Nigh...

I made a demo video depicting the difference the soundtrack makes. It's quite dramatic.

Enhanced Soundtrack in IHNMAIMS: How-To
The GOG and Steam releases of I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream included an enhanced version of the soundtrack. I emailed Night Dive Studios, the publisher for this rerelease, and Stephen Kick there had this to say about the soundtrack: The story behind the bonus OST is really interesting, when we ...

Indeed, Ctrl+D is what I'm using to open the console. I'm using 1.7.0 I guess that commant wasn't added until after 1.7.0. I didn't realize it was that recent. No problem. I hadn't considered upgrading to a daily build. I now have, and will be using it, and the play_music command, for this project....

Replacing MIDI soundtrack with MP3: IHNMAIMS
I'm collaborating with GOG user SirAlastor to get the enhanced soundtrack, offered as a bonus with IHNM on GOG and Steam, playing within the game. So far, he's been using trial and error to simply discover whether the ScummVM-compatible filename he's renamed a track to works in any particular scene,...

Re: Debugging/logging music through console
There are currently no debug commands to play music directly in HE Games that use digital music. It might be possible by changing variables via debugger, but you would need to dump and examine the scripts been used to select music tracks. The HE startup sound is only played in certain versions of g...

Debugging/logging music through console
I'm working on a personal soundtrack project and part of it includes mapping where each digital music resource actually plays in the game Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo. No iMUSE, no MIDIs, just lo-fi digital audio. What's the most efficient way to do this? I used Supper's HEErip tool to dump the audio fil...

Re: scummVM-1.4.1-steam.zip--does anyone have this file?
Huh. Yeah, F5'ing it did the trick...before that, it was always saying "file not found on this server." Well, thanks for the rescue.icanntspell wrote:The filename should be all lower case. I fixed the links last week, if you still have dead links refreshing the page may help (F5 in most browsers).

scummVM-1.4.1-steam.zip--does anyone have this file?
On icanntspell's website (http://scummvm.bencastricum.nl/), he has an awesome patch meant to do what it takes to play the LucasArts Steam adventure games through ScummVM. This is a capability that very much interests me. The compiled binary version of the patch, scummVM-1.4.1-steam.zip, is a dead li...
